This week, will be Mr.C’s and my 12th Anniversary. It is not the time when we had our wedding, but the day when we actually took our vows, exchanged rings and yes, pledged to be husband and wife (and all that jazz). It was an extremely intimate affair, with only two witnesses – Mr.C’s sister and her husband, and the celebrant present. A very casual affair but something that actually has had more meaning to me over the years than the “official” wedding day. Funny how things change as you grow older. Anyway, Mr. C had promised me that one day he will buy me a new ring, something that is slightly better than what I ended up with, although, I did and still love what I got – simple, understated, small but significant because that was all he could afford. Very telling of what we were and where we started from. So, finally, the year has come. Yes, Mr. C does that, he’ll spring it on me, and let me know that he’s ready now. I’ve been doing my research of the type of design I would like, within the budget I was given of course. But…seeing that it’s Pinterest, I can share those that I know are beyond (waaaay beyond) the limit. A girl can dream can’t she?

Now this definitely falls under the “I WISH” category. I love the elegant yet extravagant design of this ring. Just rows of diamonds placed in a brick design. Just gorgeous but yes, so far from my reach!

Another one that is similar to the one above….only slightly lesser diamonds. The scalloped edging that are on either sides of the row of diamonds creates a nice 3-D effect. But yes…still slightly beyond my reach.

Not the typical anniversary ring, but I do love the edgy design on this ring. The black enamel scroll design all around the thick cut ring with little stones scattered all around.

Another one of my favourites – love the combination of mesh and diamonds.

And this one, love the combination of the round design with black and clear stones. The enamel sides gives this ring that uniqueness.
We did manage to find one I did like and was within Mr.C’s budget. I love how unique yet simple the design of this ring is. Oh, and besides it being under the budget given, it was on sale too! So Mr.C scored on the savings and I scored on finding THE ring that I waited 12 years for!!

Now I guess he can tick that off his list.
