Saturday Shopping: Bargain Basement Buys

It’s the very first Saturday Shopping edition for 2012 – sorry I’ve been a bit absent, trying to find “share worthy” shopping news for you and as a bonus, a Vlog from me! A few weeks back, during the Christmas holiday break, I discovered a new store, well new in a sense that I just discovered it. I actually found out about this store while watching Bargain Barbie‘s videos. Daiso, a store that specialises in Japanese quality products at bargain prices. When I say bargain, mean bargain – $2.80 for EVERYTHING in the store.

Daiso is basically like your run of the mill $2 shop, but I think the store is a lot more organised and the quality is slightly better. There are things from household items, to toys, to food, to beauty and lifestyle products. You name it, they’ve got it – except for clothes I think.

Find out in the Vlog below, what I bought from Daiso. And please excuse the fact that I keep on playing with my hair. I’ll try not to do that next time.

For the benefit of those of you who can’t view the video – maybe due to your internet speed, I’ll list the things that I did buy from Daiso:

  • 1 x set of false eyelashes – there are 2 pairs in there without the eye lash glue, but I used the glue that I had gotten previously from another pack I bought elsewhere.
  • 1 x double eyelid Aloe gel – it’s a gel that help create double eyelids or give your eyelids some definition.
  • 1 x boot keeper for your boots. This helps keep the shape of your boots.
  • 1 x support pantyhose/stocking in nude. It’s actually the best out of the 4 things I’ve bought there and gives really good support.

I think they should open up more Daiso stores around Australia. I bet you it would be a hit. The merchandise are actually better than your run of the mill $2 stores – surprisingly.
