With another dare from Fox In Flats last week, especially when it came to hair, I thought I would take up the challenge – yet again. This time, it’s wearing your hair in different ways, everyday for a week. I know my title said 6 instead of 7, as it should be, but I missed Day 1, and I had my hair up in a pony tail, which isn’t that exciting. But, having said that I WILL show another way of jazzing up an everyday pony tail in another post. In this post, I’ll share with you the styles I donned on the 6 days. This is the first time in goodness knows how long, that I’ve grown my hair out. The goal is to have my hair at least past my shoulder and probably just where my bra strap is. That’s the goal anyway. So far, I’ve been good and lasted this long (it’s just past the shoulders), even in the Summer heat. Let’s hope I last that long. Meanwhile, here are the styles:
- Tuesday:
I started off with a simple ballerina bun, using a donut. I found a new and easier way of using the donut, thanks to another video I saw previously. This would be a lot better if I had cleaned up the loose bits a bit more and if I wanted to make it slightly more formal, adding a hair comb on the side would look fabulous!
- Wednesday:
Inspired by Lauren Conrad’s signature style, I thought I’d give her fringe/side braid a go:

- Thursday:
Fringe Twist – It really is another variation of the braid, but instead of braiding, I twisted my fringe and pinned on the sides. The image I’ve included as an example has the model tying up her hair at the back too, which is a great way of tying up a ponytail. I’ve chosen to let my hair down instead.

- Friday:
Given that my hair was slightly oilier, I thought it would be a great chance for me to have it all up in a bun, but again, with a plait on the side. Inspired by this style but a simpler version.

- Saturday:
I thought, seeing it was the weekend, I should have a little fun and have a play on the kiddie plaits. But, this time, I changed my parting to the other side, to give my fringe a little bit of volume and I think the plaits were pretty cute.
- Sunday:
On the final day, I went with something more relaxed and easy to do – a bun with a plait. Simply by tying my hair up high in a ponytail then plaiting and then tucking the bottom bit underneath and pinning it up.
I hope with this in mind, you can add a few more hairstyles to your repertoire. Also, check out my Beauty board on Pinterest for some other inspiring ideas!

Sure thing Gemma. I’ll do that sometime next week hopefully. The method I’m using is pretty easy actually.

I seriously need to learn how to braid my own hair. I can’t believe how many styles you’ve managed. We have similar length hair, and I never do more than a pony tail. Think I need to lift my game!
LisaW recently posted..3 things that literally make you LOL…

This challenge have been a fun thing to try and the best thing is it only too me max, 3 minutes to do some of the hairstyles. The braid is becoming quite popular now and I’m getting requests to make a video on how to do a braid…when I actually learned via YouTube myself!
