I heard on the grapevine that bright lipsticks are back come Spring/Summer – something I’ve started to embrace already. This is especially since I’ve been dreadfully sick these last two weeks. The bright lippy does give a boost to your already sick and sallow complexion, so imagine what it can do to someone who isn’t sick! Here are those that I’ve tried so far:
- Australis Limited Edition – Disco Fever
This was released in 2008, for their 21st birthday edition, but I bought it recently at a private beauty store here in Melbourne. I had been looking for a pinkish colour with a fuchsia tinge to it and luckily I manage to stumble upon this one the – Disco Fever. It was selling for $12.95, but I only paid around $6.00 for it – a bargain!
I received this when I attended the launch of Zoe Foster’s The Amazing Face over at David Jones this year, as part of a pretty generous gift bag. It was only recently that I tried this shade on. It’s hard to really describe it, but it’s a cross between pink, orange and red. What I love about it is, see at the top photo it looks a bit grainy? Well, that’s the particles that give the lipstick a bit of glimmer! So tres’ chic!
I tried this one earlier this year and have fallen in love with it since. I usually wear this out at night when I have events to go to or for that night out. It just screams sensuality! The colour is a deep red, and I usually just have to line my eyes and it’ll bring some colour to my face.
So, when in doubt, go for a bright lippy this coming Spring/Summer, that’ll save you some time from having to put on a whole face.
*I was given the Enhance by Natural Compatibles lipstick for review in accordance with my Disclosure Policy.

I think I’m getting addicted to bright lipsticks! It’s lovely how that pop of colour can actually brighten up the whole face isn’t it?
