I admit that I haven’t done much if any fashion and styling posts lately. I have nobody to blame but myself really. I mean I could come up with a million excuses but there’s just ONE – laziness. But, I’m going to try and be a bit more diligent. I’ll try.
To kick off my styling post this week, I’ve joined in with Jo from iCurvy for her Spin the Pin challenge. This month, the challenge is this:
I can of course choose any of the elements in this image, but I thought – I’ve got that tartan skirt I haven’t worn yet, so why not?
While I did rock the short, tartan skirt with boots in my younger years, I thought I’d put a more “adult” version of the plaid skirt, opting for a pencil skirt instead.
It was a strangely warm day so I paired this tartan pencil skirt with a chambray shirt. Worn with my ^black sneakers, this is a fabulous way to look sharp, yet still casual and stylish. Well, I think it’s stylish anyway.
The skirt is made from stretchy fabric and I can easily dress it up with a shirt, tucked in, a blazer and heels, or even with a tee and a biker jacket with ankle boots.
Not bad right? Pretty versatile and no mutton dressed as lamb here 😉 .
For winter, I can add a sweater and trench too. Quick changes to create different looks.
I bought this skirt from Boohoo, quite a while back, which means it’s now sold out. But, here are some similar options to choose from.
Are you a fan of tartan? Have you got a tartan piece? How would you wear yours?
