I think I have gotten used to wearing that smoky eye look now. In fact, I’ve picked up some new tips where you can rock that smoky eye even during the day! It’s pretty easy really. Here are the tips to rock that daytime smoky eye:
For my daytime smoky eye look, I’ve chosen to use the shades from the *Sleek i-Divine Oh So Special palette. It has 7 matte shades and 6 shimmery shades.
The matte shades were pretty easy to use, giving me enough colour and I could easily build up the intensity simply by applying more. I’ve used The Mail (a light cream shade), Boxed (dark brown), Noir (black) and Bow (almost white) for this look. I recorded a video for this look but had some issues with the editing program. So, I will share that on my Facebook page once I re-do the video.
While the shimmery shades from this palette is amazingly beautiful, I did find that there was quite a bit of fallout upon application. The best thing to do if you choose to apply the shimmery shades, is to conceal your under eye area AFTER applying your eye shadow instead of doing it beforehand.
The palette has a nice mix of neutral colours, perfect for a warm daytime smoky eye look, which was what I’ve created. Or one that would be perfect for a spring soiree with the soft pinks.
