That’s such a mouthful isn’t it? I was wondering how to word my title for today’s Saturday Shopping without confusing you, then thought to myself – just say what you mean! Hence, the title.
While sometimes I do shop at retail prices, most of the time, I usually don’t. I mean as much as I would LOVE to support retailers by paying full price, let’s face it, money doesn’t grow on trees. In fact, the Australian dollars are all made out of plastic. So we can’t even say it’s paper money that did grow on trees can we? And as consumers, we have to be smart with how we spend our money.
The very first one on my list is definitely Rebecca Thompson, an Australian brand I’ve featured here a few times already. The first time being a gifted item and then when I bought a dress for my birthday. Like I mentioned yesterday, for most of us bloggers, while we do receive items for editorial consideration, most of the time, we end up making repeat purchases because now we know the quality we’ve been presented with. The same goes for the brand Rebecca Thompson. I love how eclectic her designs are but could never afford her designs at full price. Her sales page though? That’s a different story altogether! With mark downs from over $300 to $99?
Hello bargains! The quality of her clothing is also really good. Her designs aren’t the run-of-the-mill on-trend items, more like one-of-a-kind eclectic yet classic pieces you can wear for different occasions. I’ve got a few pieces from their sales page that I have my sights on. If only money did grow on trees…
I have not personally shopped from this American online store but have signed up to their emails and have had friends I know who HAVE indeed gotten great bargains off this online store.
Their designs have a very retro vibe to them, cute, quirky and definitely catering to a wide range of sizes.
Final favourite sales page is of course Australia’s well-known brand, Metalicus. Again, I do like some of their designs but hip pocket says no. So what do I do but wait for items to go on sale and… wait for the added discount, which was how I managed to purchase a dress and skirt from them a few weeks ago.
Their sale stock had a further 40% off already reduced prices. Of course, it’s also the luck of the draw where you might not get the size you want, but, that’s the beauty of sales! You need to really dig deep and look for that one piece you know was worth waiting for.
Final tip, besides bookmarking sites? Do sign up to their emails where you’ll get notified of sales, further discounts and even receive member only specials. Did you know that Metalicus rewards you with a birthday voucher on your birthday? I received an extra $20 off my purchase because of my birthday voucher!
Now it’s YOUR turn. Tell me which stores or brands you just have to keep checking their sales pages for?
