From Everyday Day Time Make Up to Super Chic Night Time Look

I think I’ve share so many versions of my “everyday” make-up look that you might be thinking…another one??  I don’t blame you.  I do keep on changing my “everyday” look, depending on which products were on my list of favourites at the time.  One thing I have changed from a while back is the fact that I usually don’t wear full on foundation as my base anymore.  Not since I started wearing BB Creams and CC Creams “full-time” 😉 .  I think I’ve come to love the freckles that are on my face.  All I need is something that evens out my skintone, and a concealer to cover some of my blemishes – although not completely.

Now, I only ever wear ONE eyeshadow and that’s just a neutral coloured base and a pencil liner, which I smudge to create a nicer, more enhancing effect for my eyes.  Picking the right eye pencil colour would also help with brightening the whites of your eyes and accentuating your eye colour.

Today, I’ll be sharing with you how I take my easy everyday daytime make-up to night with some quick and easy steps.

  1. I’ve been using the Rachel K CC cream for about three weeks now, and have to say that it gives a decent cover, giving my skin a nice even tone.  The CC cream has a rich creamy texture, which is why it helps when I apply it with my beauty sponge.  That way I can pick up the product quickly and blend it nicely for an even finish.
  2. This is followed by the concealer, which I apply on the inner corner of my eyes and underneath my eye area.  Then with the pointed tip of the sponge, I blend the product in by dabbing it in.
  3. Next are my eyebrows.  First I brush my eyebrows with the brush on the pencil, then I simply pencil in with light, soft strokes and blend it again with the brush.
  4. This is when I apply my lip balm or in this case the Transformulas LipVolume lip plumper.
  5. For my eyeshadow base, I’ve picked the most neutral shade in flesh from the Sleek eye palette.  It’s the closest to my skin colour.  The good thing about this palette is the fact that its made up of matte eyeshadows with wearable shades that I can take from day to night.  Then, using the 3CE eye pencil, I line my top eyelid, getting as close to the lid as I can.  Next I smudge it out with a smudging brush.  The eye pencil has a nice creamy texture, making it so much easier to just glide the pencil over my lids.  This is then followed by curling my lashes and then applying some mascara.sleek idivine palette
  6. Cheeks are given a nice, soft flush of colour from the Sleek Blush By 3 palette, picking the soft pink shade in the middle.sleek blush by 3

Here’s a video of the steps I’ve shared above and below:

Night Time Chic

Products I’ve used

Face: **L’Oreal Paris Infallible Compact Powder Foundation rrp$29.95

Eyeshadow: *Sleek Makeup i-Divine Ultra Matte V2 rrp$20.92

Eye Pencil: *3CE Creamy Waterproof Eyeliner in Chicago rrp$19.97

Lips: *Laqa & Co Fat Lip Pencil in Ring of Fire rrp$18.06 or DaLish Cosmetics Lip & Cheek Balm rrp$19.50

  1. To touch up my face I usually use the L’Oreal Paris compact powder to get rid of any shine.
  2. This is followed by using a slightly darker eyeshadow colour from the Sleek palette on the outer corner of my eyes.
  3. Then, I would re-apply the 3CE eye pencil on the top lid and bottom lid. 3CE creamy eye pencil
  4. Finally, the lips.  This all depends on the look I’m going for.  If I wanted brighter, bolder lips, I would go for the Laqa & Co Fat Lip Pencil.  If for instance I would prefer a darker shade, then I would go for the DaLish lip and cheek balm. laqa and co lip pencil dalish lip cheek tint
  5. I would also touch up my cheeks with either the same shade or the slighter darker pink on the end.

Voila!  Easy touch-up for a chic night time look in a few minutes.
