I missed out on our regular Fashion Day yesterday but thought I should amalgamate both Fashion Day and Friday’s Favourites together, seeing as my favourites this week are pieces I’m loving from my wardrobe.
Last a Friday was my first day of my second round of teaching placement. I’ve covered what I planned to wear in last week’s Fashion Day post, so now that I’m a week into my placement, it’s only right that I share two of my favourite and practical pieces that I’ve been wearing so far.
While I’ve got quite a few pieces of pencil skirts that I’ve been wearing, my favourites would have to be the ones from Sussan and Popbasic. They are both comfortable to wear – no need to suck in my tummy or the need to wear control briefs – and best of all, I don’t have to iron them! They don’t crease, so I still look fresh at the end of the day. Ok, so not my face but more my outfit ;). I think it’s the elastane that’s in the Sussan skirt that gives it that nice comfort, fit and non-crease factor. With the one from Popbasic, it’s the gorgeous rayon and spandex.
Royal Blue Pencil Skirt: Sussan (similar style in a different colour here)
Long sleeved v-neck top: Uniqlo
Dark Denim fabric blazer: Zara
Black pencil skirt: Popbasic
Black long sleeved long line top: Sussan
I carried all my important and necessary teaching paraphernalia in the bright orange bag at my last placement. This time round, I knew I needed something bigger, because if I stuffed anything else in the orange bag, I know that would be the end of it; for sure! And I love that bag!
Excuse my outfit, I was getting into the spirit of “pyjama day”
Luckily for me, I also have this bag, a really large shopper from Louenhide that I had won from a competition I had entered previously on Beautyholics Anonymous! When I say really large, I wasn’t kidding. Look at the size, relative to my body! It fits the school netbook, my files, lunchbag, iPad, and it even comes with a separate bag inside where I could keep my more personal belongings like my wallet, keys, phone and ‘monthly necessities’. It is sturdy, and comes in a classic black faux crocodile skin on the outside. I think this would make a fabulous travel bag too, for any short trips or a great “carry on” luggage.
That’s it for this week’s Fashion Day and Friday’s Favourites mash up. Tell me, what has been your favourite wardrobe pieces this week?
