Saturday Shopping: Metalicus, Cotton On, Unlock Your Style

Saturday Shopping: Metalicus, Cotton On, Unlock Your Style

Saturday Shopping time again and boy do I have some pretty awesome discounts to share with you! You see, yesterday I was venturing around my local Westfield shopping centre on a mission to purchase more navy track pants for Master 8 as part of his school uniform. Is it just me or are size 8 navy trackies so darn hard to come by?! My fault for not stocking up in Summer but still? You’d think that since navy is such a popular colour, they would at least stock a lot more of that in various sizes right? I went EVERYWHERE – Target, BigW, KMart, Best and Less, Cotton On Kids and even Myer but alas NONE! That poor boy will only have ONE pair (I was sure he had more!) to wear this Winter! So, what do you do when you’re frustrated? You get distracted by pretty SALE signs of course – as you do. 😉

I’ve never been much of a Metalicus fan to be honest, more because of the pricing and also because I haven’t been able to find a design that I actually liked. Except for the one cobalt blue dress I bought a few years back at a sale. Then, I saw the sign 30% off storewide and thought, why not just do a quick recce and see if I would find anything. Who knows right? And I was right! I managed to snag a bargain of a dress in this gorgeous mix of black and bronze “giraffe” print. It was $149.00  originally then dropped to $79.00 and because of the 30% discount, I only paid $55.30 for the dress! I can’t find the dress online but they still had some in-store. The style is the same as the Capone dress, just to give you some idea. Hurry because their 30% off special ends this Sunday!!

For those of you who have been reading and following me on my blog and other social media networks, you would already know what a HUGE fan of Cotton On I am. Again, thanks to my “mission for navy trackie daks”, I managed to find for myself, not for Master 8 but myself, some awesome bargains yesterday. I think it must have been my recent love for anything in stripes that caught my attention, or more possibly the sign that said “nothing over $10”. Duh. Which one do you think caught my eye? I headed to that rack and straight to the collection of striped tops it held. This navy and white top with lace inserts on the wrist area was a sure fire winner and thank goodness they had my size and fitted perfectly.

Another sign that caught my eye was this “$15” sign – bargain heaven for little Miss Moi. I couldn’t find the striped version online but, the style is similar to this black one. It is loose, soft and features batwing style sleeves. I can choose to dress it up or down, depending on what I team the top with.

While I didn’t drop by the Bonds store, I did however browse their website to check out if there were any good savings and yes, they do! There’s up to 50% off some of their stock and I thought I’d compile a few items that I thought were worth your while.

For those looking to add a little bit of style to your every day wear – you know you want to lounge around but don’t want to look too dagg? – I say go for the slim leg style trackies for around $25 each. That way they usually look a lot more like pants but with the comfort of trackie daks 😉

Stock up on some long sleeved tops that you can layer this Winter and also wear when we hit Spring like these grey marle or white tops for only $15.00 each!

Sometime last year, I was invited to be a part of Nikki from Styling You‘s book – Unlock Your Style – as one of their models. In less than 9 days, her book will be available for purchase, but you can pre-order her book now via Booktopia! At only $23.95, that’s a bargain investment – because that’s what it is, an investment – for all your future fashion as well as beauty purchases. The book is packed with tips on how to shop, dress for corporate, casual, accessorise and so much more. There’s even areas where you can write down your notes on YOUR style – sort of like a mini workbook. And as a bonus, you get to check out the other models – Dee Mamastylista & Jo from ICurvy World and myself in the book – hahaha! I’m kidding – but it won’t hurt 😉

That was my mini Saturday Shopping list, but for more discounts and offers, check out the Discounts and Offers page that is regularly updated.
